PiXL - Partners in Excellence
The PiXL Club is a collaboration of school leaders, headed by Sir John Rowling, this is a club that some have said to be "the best thing they have seen in education".
The PiXL Club is about sharing new ideas with school leaders; it is a partnership of focused, determined and dedicated professional practitioners. It is a not for profit organisation that focuses on supporting and developing GCSE and A Level results and Key Stage 2 of thousands of students in many schools
across London, the South East, West and the North West.
However, Ysgol Maesglas is the first primary school in Wales to be involved with the group. We will initially be focusing on Year 6 pupils and working hard to ensure they achieve their highest possible level in English, Maths, Welsh as a second language and Science.
We'll do this by assessing their skills in specific areas of each subject. Then using PiXL provided resources and our own, we will then work specifically on key areas that can be improved. We look forward to the new project as a school and hope that the success will be greatly recognised in the children's levels, confidence and their readiness for high school.
