Year 1 and 2 have been learning all about how our digestive system works. First we put the food and drink into our model stomach (a plastic bag). Then we mushed it all up together. We then sent the food into the intestines (tights) and squeezed out all the moisture. Next we learnt that our body gets rid of all the waste that is left when we go to the toilet. The children loved this messy activity and learning all about what happens to the food we eat.
