Just a reminder that it is our Macmillan Coffee morning on Friday from 9am.
Any donations for the raffle and cakes for the stall would be greatly appreciated. We have 4 overnight trips planned for this year.
So far the uptake for places is slow. We have:- 22 places for Glanllyn (Year 3) 21 places for Pentre (Year 4) 28 places for Cardiff (Year 5) 15 places for Nant BH (Year 6) We need to know final numbers asap so we can confirm bookings Many thanks to all that attended the information session tonight. It was really interesting to hear your ideas and suggestions.
I am also delighted to let you all know that we now have a committee for our Friends of Maesglas. I will update you with all the details and upcoming meetings very soon. Residential visits and Swimming are now up on the School Gateway app for online payment.
Just a reminder that we have a free breakfast club in school. It opens at 8.10am.
We can take children from Rec to Year 6. The book fair will be in school from Friday 28th September.
You can come and buy during the coffee morning then after school the next week. Can you please make sure that you send in £3 when your child is due to go swimming?
We have a number of children today that have not paid. The £3 goes towards the hire of the pool and helps to cover some of the transport costs. If people don't pay we will have to review swimming lessons. The NSPCC's Speak out. Stay Safe. programme is visiting tomorrow. They will help to make sure our children have the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse.
This is a nationwide programme for every school in the UK. They will deliver a child friendly, interactive assembly and workshop. They will not be using any scary words or adult language. ICYMI
I will be discussing our behaviour policy and changes to the way we are marking work in an information session tomorrow at 4.30pm. This will be followed by a PTA meeting at 5pm. I do hope you can make it. |
