We need a Parent Governor

15/4/2018

Following the resignation of Mrs W. Dawson from our Governing Body we have a new chair of Governors, Mr R Jones.
This also means that we have a vacancy for a Parent Governor.
A Parent Governor will :-
  • help to decide the priorities for improving the school
  • Work in partnership with the headteacher, senior leadership team and co-operatively with other governors to raise standards and improve outcomes for all children
  • Prepare for meetings by reading papers beforehand
If any parent thinks they would be interested in supporting the school as a Governor please put your name forward by Friday 27th April.
In the event of more than one nomination we will need to put it to the vote.

If you would like further details please do not hesitate to contact me.

I know I send this message out on a regular basis and sorry for pestering.
The prize money has dropped recently due to the number of people playing.
Just a reminder that you can help support our school by playing the school lottery.
Please visit www.yourschoollottery.co.uk and search for Maesglas.
They guarantee a winner in every school community every week, PLUS they also provide a weekly £25,000 grand prize draw too!
You can share this with family, work colleagues and anyone that is interested.  It is an easy way for people to support our school.

A sincere thanks to all the staff that went on the trip with Year 4.  It is a massive responsibility and like working 24 hours without a break!
The pictures on twitter look fantastic and I can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow.
We are aware of a bit of lost property.  As you are unpacking please look out for anything that does not belong to your child and send it back in to school.
I am sure they will all sleep well tonight.
