Healthy snacks can be an important part of the diet of young people and can contribute positively towards a balanced diet.
In school fruit is available for all children at playtime.
Alternatively, children may bring their own fruit-based snacks into school for break times.
The school discourages the consumption of snacks high in fat and sugar at break-time, therefore no chocolate, cakes, biscuits, pastries or crisps are allowed.
