Just to confirm that the rearranged KS2 concert will be on Thursday 14th at 1.30pm.
Please make sure all the children in the concert tonight are back in school for 5.15pm.
Our first concert went really well this morning. As I said to all the children earlier, I couldn't be prouder. They were all superstars.
Many thanks to everyone that came. If you are coming tomorrow you are in for a real treat.
Here are the dates for the concerts this week:-
FP concert tomorrow 10am
KS2 tomorrow 6pm
FP concert 10am
The KS2 afternoon performance will be Thursday 14th 1.30pm.
Don't worry if you haven't got tickets yet. Please get in touch with Mrs Smith and tickets can be collected on the door.
School will be open tomorrow. Please give plenty of time for the school run and stay safe.
It might be helpful if the children have a change of footwear so they have dry shoes in class.
Please also make sure the older children leave the house with a coat/hat/gloves etc.
Due to the snow today and the NW Police/Met Office warnings of extremely low temperatures overnight the school will be closed tomorrow. We will do all we can to get the school site safe and ready to re-open on Tuesday.
Information regarding Christmas concerts will follow as soon as possible.
Apologies for the inconvenience this may cause but the safety of our pupils and staff are paramount.
We have taken the decision to close school due to the forecast of further snow, poor travelling conditions and problems with the heating system.
Please arrange to collect your child asap.
Many apologise for the inconvenience caused.
In light of the weather warning in place for the weekend and consulting with the Chester Male Voice Choir we have made the decision to cancel the concert tomorrow on Health and Safety grounds.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience and disappoint caused.
Contact the office for refunds.
We will be having another concert with the choir at a future date.
Please let people know about the cancellation.
There is a Yellow Weather warninig in place for Flintshire over the next couple of days.
Hopefully it will be fine but I just wanted to remind you of the contact details if we need to close school.
In the event of a school closure you can check Flintshire County Council’s relevant webpage http://www.flintshire.gov.uk/schoolclosures.
This procedure also automatically updates the Council’s Twitter (www.twitter.com/flintshirecc ) to help provide another channel for notification of school closures.
There is also an RSS Feed available to keep instantly updated about school closures. http://www.flintshire.gov.uk/dominoimgs/webcont/emsdata.nsf/feed.xml
If you want to register to receive emails whenever a school closure has been logged please follow this link:-
We will also update the school twitter, facebook and website.
I am writing to inform you that there is an increase in the number of pupils at school with a sickness bug.
The condition usually resolves within 24 to 48 hours.
If your child develops any symptoms and to prevent further cases in school we would ask you to keep your child at home for at least 48 hours after the last episode of sickness.
Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration. If you are concerned, please contact your GP.
