As the New Year approaches I just wanted to express my sincere thanks to all the staff, pupils and families at Maesglas for all the continued support and hard work throughout 2015.
Wishing you all a wonderful year ahead. Happy New Year
What can we achieve in 2016?
As a busy term draws to a close I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support. I am so proud that you raised so much this term to allow us to get the defibrillator and helped us to get the Investors in Families award. We are creating something very special in Maesglas and long may it continue.
Thanks to all the staff for the hard work, as always above and beyond.
We will be saying a few goodbyes tomorrow. Mr Delaney is leaving us to gain more teaching experience in other schools, Mrs Bickerton is leaving to start a new job in January and Mr Stamatiou is heading to the USA. We are sad to see them go but we wish them all well and every success for the future.
We break up tomorrow and school reopens for the children on TUESDAY 5th JAN
My best wishes to you all for an enjoyable Christmas. See you in the New Year.
Look out for Xmas Jumper and Panto photos on twitter
I am pleased to inform you that we have gained the Investors in Families award today.
This award recognises all the work that we do together with you.
Many thanks to all that helped today as part of the interview process.
A special mention to Mrs Woodhouse and Miss Parry for everything they do as part of our Family Support team.
We are the first school in North Wales to get this award. A great achievement.
Fantastic news to end the term.
It will be our Xmas jumper/non uniform day tomorrow.
This is a different day to the national Xmas jumper day.
As we have the panto, Cinderella, in school we thought it would be nice to have us all in Christmas clothes. If you don't have a jumper any Christmas colours, tinsel would be fine.
Originally we were asking for donation towards the defibrillator. As we have reached our target you don't need any donation.
Look out for a letter coming home tonight for the school choir. They will be singing in town tomorrow. We were originally going to walk but due to the weather we will go in cars.
Please return the slip to give your consent.
If you want to come and watch we are due to be singing at 10am
There will be no Media club tomorrow. We will start again in January
Thanks again for your generosity. Last night you all raised £684.70 for school.
We will use the money to go towards a special Panto treat for the children.
If you have any ideas for future fundraising targets please let us know.
The Christmas concerts and donations to school helped to raise £1481.45.
We are so thankful for your generosity and support.
We will now have the life saving equipment in school.
Training will take place in January and 30 children will have first aid training.
My sincere thanks once again.
Great to see so many people in school tonight. Hope you all had a good time. Father Christmas was very busy in the grotto.
Many thanks to our fantastic staff and helpers. We couldn't do it without you.
