The half term has flown by and so much has been achieved.
I am sure the dinosaur event yesterday was a real highlight for lots of the FP children. The tweets looked amazing. Our 'Friends of' have had a successful half term with the movie night and disco. Thanks to all the team for organising and giving up their time. Watch out for some new events next half term. We have had a chat to the children about Halloween today. Please see below the tips we have talked about to ‘Keep Safe on Halloween’
I hope you all have a great half term. My sincere thanks, as always, to all the staff for the continued hard work. I hope you all have a well earned break. We will see you all back on Monday 5th November.

Can I please remind you that phones will be switched off and given to the Class Teacher to keep it safe until the end of the school day. Many thanks If you shop online please follow this link. It will automatically send a donation to school.
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/ysgolmaesglas1/ Just a reminder that to all Yr 6 that the closing date for secondary school applications is November 9th which is only 2 weeks away.
You should have had a progress report home today. I am really interested to know what you think of them. This is a new system for our school. Does it work for you?
Remember you can call in to Open Evening tomorrow and Thursday. No appointment needed. Staff will be around for an informal chat and you can look at the work in books. Just a reminder that you will be getting a 'Progress Report' sent home tomorrow. We then have open evening on the 24th and 25th. There is no need to make an appointment. It is an opportunity for you to come and see the work in class.
Thanks to all that sent a pumpkin in today. There are so many creative ideas.
Judging will be tomorrow dinner time. You still have time if you would like to enter. Our Pupil Governors have organised a pumpkin carving competition for next week.
They would like children from Nur to Year 6 to bring in a carved pumpkin of any design. This will cost £1 per pumpkin. There will be prizes for each year group. They will be using the money they make to buy new PE equipment. All pumpkins need to go home on Thursday. Good Luck and Happy Carving. You will get a pupil progress report next week. This will detail how things are going so far this term.
School will then be open on Wednesday 24th from 3pm to 7pm and Thursday 25th from 3pm to 6pm. You do not need an appointment. Please call in, have a look around school and see what is going on. Staff will be available if you want to have a chat. Monday 22nd Oct - Sustrans launch assembly
