In order to support our 3 school rules, Respectful, Ready and Safe, I am posting a code of conduct for visitors to our school site. As many of you know we had a bit of damage over the summer.
If we experience:- Disruptive behaviour Offensive language Threats/Physical aggression Damage to property Abusive emails or messages Defamatory comments about children/parents/staff on Facebook Smoking and consumption of alcohol or drugs whilst on school property We will contact the appropriate authorities and if necessary ban the offending adult from school grounds. I know that you will help me in implementing this code of conduct. If you do witness anything please get in touch. Thank you for your continuing support. We are making changes to our behaviour policy in school. Hopefully you will already have noticed a few changes.
They include:- 3 rules for the whole school, Ready, Respectful, Safe Meeting and Greeting - At the start of the day staff are at the classroom door to shake hands and greet every pupil. We are making the children feel important, valued and like they belong. Lots of positive notes and postcards from me. Each class has a recognition board to celebrate achievements. We are celebrating 'Over and Above'. I am planning a parent briefing session to go over the change in more detail so please keep a look out for a date in the very near future. We will be sending home a questionnaire for you to complete.
Please tell us what you think about our school. If you send in your honest feedback we can improve our school together. We will be sending out our home school agreement for you to sign in the next couple of days.
This is a document that is usually signed on entry to school. We will be getting you to re-sign them at the start of the new school year. We firmly believe in strong partnerships between home and school. Together we will help our children on their pathway to progress. Another 4 teams entered today. Just get in touch if you want to join the Maesglas Prem.
It is not too late to enter our fantasy football league. If you send in an email address I can get a verification code sent to you. We only have 4 teams at the moment.
Have a go and see if you can win the Maesglas Prem! As you will know the school coffee morning is this Friday at 10am. The school council have asked if children can have a non uniform day to support the event.
If your child would like to come in own clothes on Friday we would ask for a suggested donation of 50p. All donations will go to Macmillan. Many thanks Many apologies for any confusion caused. The coffee morning starts at 10am this Friday.
Don’t forget to pick up the Daily Post today to see your class in the Daily Post First Day of School Supplement.
