On Thursday 29th June all our children will spend time with the teacher they will be having in September. The aim of the day is for each child to experience the new class they will be in and become familiar with staff and routines.
In previous years we found that the children will be nervous and excited all at the same time. Please reassure them that we all feel like this and it is perfectly normal. We are sure they will enjoy the session and it will put them in a good frame of mind for coming back in September. You might have already spotted on Twitter that our athletics team had a great afternoon on the track in Deeside on Friday.
It was a great team effort with some brilliant individual performances. The team ethos throughout the afternoon was superb with plenty of support and cheering. I must admit I had a bit of a sore throat on Friday night! Thanks to Mr Williams for team managing and getting everyone to events on time. Not an easy task when someone had the long jump and 400m at the same time. Looking forward to seeing all the medals in school for celebration assembly. |
