From the 18th April we will be taking part in the Big Pedal. We will be logging the number of children that come to school on a bike or scooter. There will be prizes for the school with the most journeys completed on a bike.

A really busy half term again with so much going on. A big thanks to all our staff for providing our children with so many experiences that I am sure they will remember for ever.
We celebrated St David's day with our School Eisteddfod. Well done again to all the children that took part in out Chair competition. We also took part in the County Urdd competition and are really proud of the dances who finished 3rd in the Regional Finals. Longyfarchiadau! Have a great Easter. Pasg Hapus See you all back on Tuesday 12th April. Sorry staff you are in Monday 11th! Many thanks to all the children that took part in our egg competition. We are here to help and don't hesitate to get in touch if you need anything. Kids’ Marathon is running in Wales:
Our pupils are being challenged to run a marathon. UK charity Kids Run Free is excited to announce the launch of their Kids’ Marathon programme at Ysgol Maesglas in Flintshire on Wednesday, 13th April. Kids’ Marathon is an exciting project from children’s charity Kids Run Free. The project aims to give school children the opportunity to complete a marathon throughout the course of the school year by running laps of a course once or twice a week during their lunch break. The concept is based on personal achievement rather than competition - this encourages all children, regardless of fitness ability to take part by running as much or as little as they choose. Our KS2 children are the last to join kids’ Marathon programme for the 2015/16 school year raising the number of Welsh pupils to take part in this academic year to 572. We can't wait to get started. We had a great day for Sport Relief. All the children and staff took part in an aerobic session in the hall as a warm up and then ran laps of the playground in honour of the Marathon Man Eddie Izzard.
Well done everyone. Thanks for your genorisity yet again. We are sending £130 to Sport Relief A massive thanks to our Year 5 pupils, school staff and volunteers that helped with the Greenfield Valley day this morning. They managed to collect 14 bags of rubbish.
