Great to see everyone back in today.
A really busy week ahead so a few updates and reminders for you.
We are supporting two charities this half term.
We have the Marie Curie Daffodils available for a suggested donation of £1 each.
We also have some Easter chicks in support of Nightingale House again suggested donation of £1 each.
It is our school Eisteddfod on Wednesday to celebrate St Davids day.  The children can come in traditional Welsh clothes, Wales rugby shirts or house colours.
World Book day - we will be having a number of activities for the children on World Book day.  The children do not need to dress up.  We are focusing on books and developing a love of reading rather than dressing up.
We are looking at setting up email communication.  If you have a preferred email address please send it in to school or email ghmail@hwbmail.net.
Many thanks

We are always looking to improve in school and I know communication can be an issue.
I would just like to remind you that our main communication will always be through the website, twitter and facebook.  When we need a signature you will get a letter through pupil post.
We do also have Our school app.  This is available as a FREE DOWNLOAD from both the App Store and the Play Store.

Just search for “Ysgol Maesglas”

Once installed, please ensure you allow ‘push notifications’ so that you can be the first to find out about upcoming events and read our latest news. You can also use the app to RSVP for upcoming events, access the school calendar, call or email the school office and read the latest Twitter and Facebook posts.

Any problems just get in touch

We would also like to try an email system.  If you can provide school with an up to date email address it would be much appreciated.

Half Term Homework
We would like you to write a story or a poem with a dragon character in it.
All work needs to be handed in on Monday 27th February. All completed pieces of work will be entered into our school Eisteddfod competition which is taking place on Wednesday 1st March to celebrate St David’s day.
Make sure that the paper with your work on it has your name and your teacher written on it and if you can remember which house team you are in, put that too!
You can word process or write the work and you can draw or add pictures if you would like.
Why not send them to the 500 word competition as well.
Happy Writing.
Have a lovely half term!
