Happy Friday all. We have had a very busy week and are all I am sure looking forward to a rest.
Just a few notes for you. Can I remind everyone to check that they have signed up for the SeeSaw parent app. If you have not had the access code, please get in touch with your class teacher. We are sending emails out today also for a Parent - Pupil - School agreement to detail what we will do regarding school work if your child cannot be in school due to self isolation or school closure. Please share this with your child and let them know what we will be doing for them and expecting of them if they can't come to school. We ask you digitally sign this and email it back to school. We have a busy week next week, we are very much looking forward to our Harvest service on Wednesday. You will be sent a link via SeeSaw to access the video the pupils have made. We will be collecting tins and dried goods to donate to the St Peter's £2 club food bank. Please do not send anything into school until Wednesday. I will collect items for donation straight into my car boot that morning and will drive it straight to the church to avoid too much contact. Any donations you can give would be most gratefully received. Also next week we have the Flu Vaccinations (if you have returned the consent form) and we will be emailing your child's Autumn report out. If you would like to speak to the class teacher about any aspect of the report please let them know by email and a mutually convenient time after half term will be found for a telephone call. Have a lovely weekend all. Thanks for your continued support, your kind words really do make a difference in these troubled times.

Big thanks to you for your understanding regarding keeping classrooms well ventilated and clean.
It has been fantastic, today, to see children coming in dressed appropriately for the weather outside and for the potential to be colder than we might expect inside. To be clear, the classes are cleaned (hard surface wipe down including tables and chairs) at break time and again after lunch in class (this cleaning also involves hoovering). Our cleaning staff are amazing and whilst we have a tight schedule to get this work done, we can be a little flexible around timings to avoid down pours. In the event of extreme weather we have a contingency plan to leave the classroom but shelter outside for the length of time it takes the team of cleaners to carry out this very necessary work. We will keep the pupils out for the minimum amount of time possible. Likewise in class we are currently, and in line with WG guidance, operating with doors and windows open to keep the room well ventilated. This obviously reduces the temperature in class. For this reason we suggest your child wears layers of clothing so they can adjust it according to how hot or cold they feel. As winter wears on, we may find we need to adjust our risk assessment and plans, but I think you will all agree with me, especially with R rates rising, keeping the classrooms as clean as we can and seeking to reduce transmission by keeping the rooms well ventilated is of paramount importance. Can you please check your emails if you have not yet returned the questionnaire that was sent recently. Staff have contacted those of you we have not had an answer from to ask the question again via email in case the forms document was not working for you? Can you please respond asap so that we can finalise our list of pupils who can access our online books and start sending reading books home electronically. Your speedy assistance with this matter would be much appreciated .
Please check your emails for information and application forms for pupils to apply for the following jobs- Pupil Governor/Class Representatives, Areas of Learning and Experience Team Members. Applications need to be in by Friday October 9th. Thank You
