I was so disappointed not to be here for the Year 6 Leavers service. It looks like it was a great occasion. I hope you enjoyed the videos...I am working on my timing issues although I didn't think I was out of time with the choreography.
To all the children 'Carpe Diem', who knows where the world will take you. Astronauts, physicists, programmers, musicians, technologists, doctors, engineers, lawyers and all the other professions that make the world go around. Please remember where you started, here at Ysgol Maesglas. Your pathway to Progress. Have a great summer We are having a golf day on Saturday September 10th at Northop Golf Club starting at 1pm.
It is £100 for a fourball. Places are limited so if you are interested in entering a team please get in touch as soon as possible to secure a place. Carrying out a recent book audit we have found that we have a lot of missing books.
As you can appreciate reading books are an important resource in school and will need to be replaced. We would really appreciate it if you could have a check at home and send in any books you might find. Unfortunately replacing the books comes at a cost to the school so any books lost will have to incur a replacement fee. Many thanks for your help. We had a great day at the cricket today.
The children enjoyed getting on the pitch at the interval. A few played cricket and others were happy to cartwheel around the outfield. We also got to be part of the guard of honour as the Glamorgan team took to the pitch for the afternoon session. Well done to all the children, our vivo superstars for this year. Disco tomorrow
4pm - 5pm Foundation Phase children 5pm - 6pm KS2 £2.50 including refreshments and sweets Buy one get one free offer for families of more than two children What a fantastic year we have had at Maesglas!
Thank you to all pupils, staff, parents and governors for all your hard work and support. Every child in school has had fun, learnt lots and been on some amazing adventures. We had a lovely celebration assembly on Friday where we celebrated our pupils of the year. It was fantastic to see so many children getting certificates for so many things. On Wednesday we say goodbye to Year 6 as they start a new part of their learning journey at High School. I wish them all the very best and am sure they will do us proud. We will also be saying goodbye to Mrs N.Giffiths as she takes early retirement and Miss Newman who is starting a new job but I am sure they will keep in touch. Have a brilliant summer holiday, stay safe and see you all in September. I am delighted to inform you that we have booked our Vivo trip for Monday 18th July.
The top 12 Vivo winners from KS2 will get the chance to go to Colwyn Bay to watch the County Championship Cricket match, Glamorgan v Derbyshire. I will send out further details to the lucky 12. We have a number of children performing at Theatre Clwyd tomorrow night. Please let us know if you are unable to make it for whatever reason.
Thanks Staff are available after school from 3.30pm - 4.30pm if you would like to discuss any issues from the end of year school reports.
There is no need to make an appointment. If you are happy with the report don't feel you have to come in. |
