We are now overdue with our payment for the London Trip.
There will be a letter on the way home very soon. We totally understand that people have concerns about the trip and would like to reassure you that we are taking every precaution possible. We are travelling with a company called study experiences and are in regular contact with them. Our hotel is based in Croydon, Out of Central London. I would also like to point out that the children will not be wandering around London, but will be on and off the bus at their various locations. We are taking advice from the Home Office and also our regulatory bodies, such as the School Travel Forum, regarding safety to travel in London. You may find the information contained here useful https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/recognising-the-terrorist-threat/recognising-the-terrorist-threat We will be having a meeting for you to discuss any concerns and issues that you might have. Many Thanks

We all want our children to do well in any test, but it is important to recognise that there is no pass or fail in the national tests. The tests are just one piece of evidence about your child’s skills in reading and numeracy and the best way to prepare your child is to make sure that they are not worried or anxious. You can find more advice and guidance on supporting your child from Education begins at home. facebook.com/beginsathome Twitter @edubeginsathome You will be getting another attendance letter today. Here is a reminder of the criteria. We are asking you all to set the highest of expectations for attendance. Our target is a minimum of 97% attendance! Below is an explanation of the relationship between attendance and achievement at school. The rewards for good attendance are clear. Pupils are more likely to enjoy school, achieve better results and have increased life chances. We will be updating you about your child’s attendance on a half-termly basis. Your colour coded letter tells you the attendance figures for your child for this half term. This will be different to the last letter you had. The figures below relate to the end of Year Target. GREEN 100% Not missing any lessons 99% Missing about 10 lessons 98% Missing about 20 lessons 97% Missing about 30 lessons AMBER 96% Missing about 8 days of school. It will be difficult to catch up on this lost learning from about 40 lessons 95% Missing about 2 weeks of school 93% Missing 14 days of school. This is almost 3 weeks which is a significant amount of education to lose. RED 92% and below Missing more than 3 weeks of education. A serious loss of learning which is likely to have a detrimental effect on achievement and life chances. We do understand and are aware of different circumstances. We do have a fantastic Family Support Team available for a chat. Miss Parry is the main contact for any attendance issues so please don't hesitate to get in touch. I am sure that working together we can improve our attendance. Another term gone...time flies!
Eisteddfod, Sports Competitions, School trips, endless visitors, Open Evenings are just a few of the activities we have fitted in over the last term. It was great to see so many adults spending time with Early Years and Year 4 this morning sharing the learning and celebrating achievements. Many thanks for your continued support. As always we are here to help. Never hesitate to get in touch. Have a great Easter, Pasg Hapus! Stay safe See you back in school on Tuesday 25th April You will now be able to get our school uniform from Tesco.
