We are really pleased to let you know that we will be hosting the local food co-op. They will be in school every Friday morning. You can call in at any time throughout the morning to order bags of fruit, veg and salad.
Welcome back to the summer term. I hope you all had a great Easter.
You may have spotted on twitter the changes to our media room. Today the children have started to use it with our IT specialist, Mr Simon Hanlon. This is a great opportunity for us and we are looking forward to seeing and hearing the fantastic work they are going to be doing with the TV and Radio station. On Friday 17th of April it will be our first Plant Yr Cwm (Children of the Valley) trip. We are taking the whole school (Rec to Yr 6) to Greenfield Valley to take part in a variety of activities. We are going to visit and work with Greenfield Valley once a term making use of the outdoor space so close to school. Please send children in with coats and appropriate footwear. We will try and go whatever the weather. Just another reminder that test week is week starting 4th May. It is really important that the children are in school. We will try and keep the week as normal as possible for the children so they do not get too nervous. Holiday forms The holiday form system. All holidays will need to be recorded on a ‘Application for pupil leave of absence for holiday’ (available from the office). I will then consider the following using a scoring system before authorising the holiday. Previous attendance history. The age of the child. The time of year. The nature of the trip. If holiday already taken within the school year. If parents are restricted in leave from their employer. A score of 8 or more will not be authorised. If you have any questions about this please get in touch. |
