Can I politely remind parents to take care with their parking in all three areas that are commonly used for dropping off and picking up children.
We have had numerous incidents in the main reception car park in the mornings when staff are attempting to park and parents are not observing parking bays or waiting in queues to drop their children off. Can I also remind parents not to use the disabled parking space which is at the top right hand side of the row of parking spaces as you enter the yard. With regard to the top car park, can I remind parents not to park in the drop off zone, but to use it for that purpose only. We have had far fewer incidents since this rules has been established and we are grateful for your cooperation. With regard to parking on the road, I am sure we are all aware that you have the right to park anywhere without lines on public roads. We do ask that you avoid parking in a place that will hamper people crossing the road. As a school we have sought advice from the Road Safety Department at Flintshire County Council and we are looking to see if we can put road markings in place to ensure our pupils can cross safely after they have left the school building. I appreciate your patience whilst we explore the options through the correct channels. Safety is our main concern with all these requests and I know you will understand my need to ask for your help in keeping all our pupils, parents and staff safe. Thank you.
